- Landscapes employs three traditional Chinese melodies to create three landscapes: “Under the Cliff in the Bay,” “The Sorrow of Parting,” and “One Streak of Dying Light.” The poems, postdating these melodies associated with them by centuries, are in the composer’s translation.
